Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Synthencia collects, why we use it, and the choices available to visitors and members.
Who we are
Synthencia operates at synthencia.com and includes the One.More.Time and Curation projects. Privacy questions may be sent to MGDocWoodworth@protonmail.com.
Information we collect
When you register, we collect the username, name, email address, and password information submitted through the form. Passwords are stored in protected, encrypted form by WordPress and are not visible to the site administrator.
If you subscribe to Curation, we collect your email address and subscription preferences. If you participate in a forum or leave a comment, we collect the content you submit, associated account information, and technical information such as IP address and browser details used for moderation and spam prevention.
How we use information
- To create and administer member accounts.
- To review membership applications and control forum access.
- To deliver newsletters and manage subscriptions.
- To display forum posts, replies, profile names, and other material you choose to publish.
- To secure the site, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and improve performance.
Cookies
Synthencia uses essential cookies for login sessions, account preferences, security, and normal WordPress operation. If you choose “Keep me signed in,” a longer-lasting login cookie may be stored. You can remove or block cookies through your browser, although parts of the site may stop working correctly.
Email and newsletters
Newsletter messages are sent only to subscribed addresses. Each marketing or editorial newsletter includes an unsubscribe option. Administrative account messages—such as approval, password reset, or security notices—may still be sent when necessary to operate your account.
Service providers
Synthencia uses WordPress and related tools for site operation, Ultimate Member for account features, bbPress for forums, MailPoet for newsletters, and security or anti-spam tools. Hosting, email-delivery, and technical providers may process limited information only as needed to provide their services.
Sharing and public content
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the site and its users. Forum posts, replies, display names, and other content you intentionally publish may be visible to other visitors.
Retention and security
Account and forum information is retained while an account remains active and as reasonably needed for administration, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or request removal. Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from newsletters at any time. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to legitimate security, archival, and legal needs. Contact us at the address above.
Children’s privacy
Synthencia is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site develops. The effective date at the top will be revised when material changes are made.
