Forum Guidelines
The forums exist for thoughtful conversation, shared discoveries, cultural memory, and productive disagreement. These guidelines protect that purpose.
Be civil and address ideas
Disagree freely, but respond to the argument rather than attacking the person. Harassment, threats, slurs, intimidation, persistent hostility, and attempts to drive others away are not welcome.
Add context, not just heat
Explain your reasoning. When making a factual claim—especially about politics, history, or current events—link to a useful source when possible. Clearly distinguish fact, interpretation, memory, satire, and speculation.
Stay relevant
Use the One.More.Time forum for film, television, music, memory, and cultural history. Use the Curation forum for politics, culture, news, websites, facts, and worthwhile discoveries. Moderators may move an off-topic discussion.
Respect privacy
Do not publish another person’s private contact information, financial or medical details, precise location, private correspondence, or other sensitive material without permission. Do not impersonate another person or organization.
Respect creators
Quote only what is needed for discussion and identify the source. Do not upload pirated media, entire articles, books, paywalled material, or other content you do not have the right to share. Links and brief quotations are usually better.
No spam or manipulation
Do not post repetitive promotions, deceptive links, automated material, malware, scams, coordinated disruption, or undisclosed commercial solicitation. Relevant self-promotion may be allowed when it genuinely contributes to a discussion.
Use AI transparently
AI-assisted research or drafting is welcome when it helps the conversation, but do not present generated material as verified fact. Check important claims and disclose substantial AI generation when it would matter to readers.
Help moderation work
Do not continue a public fight about moderation. Contact the site privately if you believe something was misunderstood. Posts may be edited, moved, closed, or removed, and accounts may be limited when needed to protect the community.
